Kembara Syawal Gunung Berembun

hello people. sorry lama gila tak update. tak tau nak tulis apa. plus quite busy. tapi dalam busy2 pun sempat jugak pergi naik gunung. hehe. lama kan tak buat outdoor activities? last masa kat belum rainforest resort, end may last year. you may view the pictures here and the story here.

so, this year aku join kelab umag's kat unisel. it stand for unisel mountain adventure group's. jadi aktiviti pertama untuk semester ni adalah kembara ke gunung berembun, dungun, terengganu. masa dapat sms pasal aktiviti ni terus rasa nak pergi. siap jadi the first person yang bayar full. kan kak erin and abg paul? mula2 memang excited sangat, samapai lagi seminggu nak pergi. mental terus tak betul. rasa macam tak ready langsung. terutama masa malam briefing. mula la teringat barang tu tak ada, barang ni tak ada, barang ni kat rumah, yang itu dah rosak, ini kena beli baru. haih. nasib baik abah dah bagi tau awal2 kalau barang yang tak ada, bagi tau abah, boleh pergi beli. quite banyak la barang yang tak ada masa tu. i started crying everytime i thought of the hiking and about abah and adik who have to go buy stuff for me and bring it here at bestari jaya. tiap2 malam call along. haha. kelakar pulak ingat. abah, umi and adik hantar barang tu hari rabu petang.

malam rabu tu start la packing. mula2 fikir macam mana abah selalu pack kan bag. yela, selama ni abah yang buat. siap undies pun abah tolong. hehe. sekarang kena buat sendiri semua. dah masuk semua, keluarkan balik sebab tak puas hati. masa dah siap tu punya lah berat beg. mula fikir apa yang nak keluarkan.

so 8 malam 23/10 kene kumpul kat rotunda FSP. aku dengan shahira pun berjalan berdua pergi FSP. sebab aku segan bawak haversack besar sorang. sampai FSP daftar nama kak kak ili and ambil tshirt. lepas tu lepak2 jap sementara tunggu yang lain untuk briefing and bagi makanan. lepas briefing kami diminta kenalkan diri masing2. tapi tak dengar semua pun sebab gema. aku kena bawa mes tin satu dengan kentang and ape lagi tah. bas lambat sampai. patutnya gerak pukul 10, tapi pukul 12 baru dia sampai. naik bas apa lagi, tidur la. disebabkan bas dah lambat and nak sampai esok pagi awal, berhenti sekali je. kat perhentian yang sebelum naik cameron tu(?) mula-mula nak turun untuk buangh air je. bila pergi kat bus nak naik, nampak macam bus tutup so pergi tempat makan. duduk je. sekali abang rafiq tanya tak makan ke. aku cakap la duit dalam bas, sebab memang dalam bus pun. jadi dia suruh guna duit dia dulu. jadi beli mee hoon dengan teh o limau. naik bus bayar la baki duit kat abang rafiq, then orang buat lawak sebab aku macam bayar tambang bus. haha. then aku tidur.

sedar-sedar dah sampai hutan lipur chemerong paginya, dalam pukul 7 lebih. turun. bawa keluar beg and kumpul kat err, tempat makan. ada yang salin baju, gosok gigi, cuci muka semua. lepas warm up and briefing pasal trek hari tu, kene tunggu lagi dua orang guider. then pendakian dimulakan dalam pukul 9 or 10 masa tu, tak perasan, mengikut group masing2. aku group kuih abkar. semua group ikut nama kuih-muih. semangat ni nak naik, walaupun beg berat gila babi. baru je mula jalan dah ada beberapa orang kena sengat tebuan, dan aku adalah salah seorang darinya. kena kat kepala. memang sakit la. then aku tak ingat sapa, bagi aku cream apa tah suruh sapu, aku pun sapu lah. then sengat tu dah start buat aku pening2, kepala start berdenyut2. lalu la satu titi gantung, ada pulak yang goyang2, ni aku hangin. lepas tu melalui trek yang sangat curam. sampai at one point aku rasa nak patah balik je, nak turun masa tu jugak. nasib baik mental tak pecah. jalan few steps berhenti, jalan lagi sikit berhenti. masa tu kak ili and bf dia(?) ada kat belakang. they asked kenapa. aku tak dapat nak jawab, rasa nak nangis masa tu sebab rasa macam tak larat sangat. sebab aku tak expect trek sampai macam tu sekali. lepas tu bf kak ili(?) offer untuk angkat kan bag. aku serba salah sebab dia sendiri dah bawak bag dia and sebab aku tau beg aku tu berat macam mana. tapi masa tu kak ili dah pegang tali beg jadi aku bagi jugak. dia tak la carry sampai camp site, just sampai satu kawasan landai. and of course la aku cakap thanks. gila la kalau orang dah tolong angkatkan beg seberat tu dengan beg dia sendiri aku tak cakap thanks. nak kena sepuk kepala dengan umi and abah? masa ni bisa sengat dah turun kat mata and dah start sakit. ada lintas sungai. apa tah nama sungai tu. tapi kepala dia air terjun chemerong. i'm the only one yang tergelincir and lencun sampai chest! haha. kesian abang zarul kena sambut aku yang berat. then sambung jalan lagi. kali ni lagi curam trek. memang asal ada tempat aku stop ah, nasib baik la abang nazrul and shahira ada teman. kalau tidak, tak larat den. jumpa tempat landai, aku stop lagi. hehe. penat bai. sambung jalan and stop lunch kat kem balak. mas sampai tu dalam pukul 2 lebih kot. lunch memang terbaik lah. ada tom yam sayur and sardin, air sirap. sardin tu wajib masa setiap meal. kalau tak ada aku rasa tak lengkap camp. betul? sapa setuju angkat tangan. dekat pukul 4 sambung jalan pergi kem Y. sampai kem Y terus pasang fly and ground sebab tidur kat situ. ni lah first time aku tidur guna fly and ground. sakit badan memang sakit. tapi at least kena bersyukur sebab ada tampat tidur kan? masa baru je duduk, kaki cramp sebab sejuk lama sangat dalam kasut yang basah. masa nak pergi mandi hujan la pulak. terpaksa tangguhkan dulu. reda je hujan, kena kumpul barang masakan. dah la masa tu dengan nama ahli group pun tak ingat. then pergi mandi. memang tak la kan air sejuk gila babi punyalah macam air dalam tempat beku. tapi redah gak sebab badan rasa tak selesa nanti tidur. mandi siap, salin baju siap. masa untuk memasak. malam tu menu air teh ros nasi sardin lagi and aku tak ingat ada lauk ape. lepas makan ada macam game sikit. setiap kumpulan dikehendaki menghafal nama penuh alhi kumpulan masing2. then kena bagi tau semua. kalau salah kena denda. few groups kena denda. kena menari lah, menyanyilah, catwalk lah. kumpulan aku tak kena. yay, kuih bakar rocks. :) then malam tidur awal dalam pukul berapa tah. patutnya kumpulan aku jadi sentri malam tu masa pukul 4pagi. tapi tak sedar. and macam takde orang kejut pun.

the next day bangun pukul 6.15. bangun gosok gigi, siap2 semua. kemas2. breakfast makan cucur and roti dengan jem. ada jem nenas, strawberi and anggur. lepas siap makan sambung jalan ke puncak. hari ni mata aku tak boleh bukak. jadi aku request kak guider untuk duduk dengan sweeper. sebab aku takut kalau duduk depan, akan melambatkan orang lain. tapi abang din yang dekat sweeper suruh aku jalan depan dulu, tak larat nanti, duduk tepi ang dorang kan kutip aku. jadi aku jalan depan duduk dengan abang paul. tapi lama2 duduk sweeper gak. sama macam hari sebelumnya ada orang tolong angkat kan beg aku. thanks abang din sebab sudi tukar bag dengan farah. jalan2 sampai taman bonzai. memang cantik ah. tapi ni bonzai natural la.kuasa pulak ada orang nak naik ikat pokok tu satu2. dari taman bonzai tak sampai 30 minit. masa sampai puncak tu dalam pukul 12 lebih. rasa puas sangat masa sampai puncak dengan hanya menggunakan mata kiri. sebab mata kanan tak boleh bukak. and walaupun tak carry bag sendiri. lepas puas lepak kat puncak, turun bawah ke kem sungai lansir, sebab akan bermalam dekat situ. sampai kem sungai lansir dalam pukul 2 macam tu. masa ni jalan dengan afiq, firdaus, ana and az. trimas sebab sabar dengan kelembapan aku masa tu. sampai je kem sungai lansir, boleh dikatakan separuh daripada penat tu hilang sebab tempat dia lawa sangat. rugi aku tak ambil gambar. sampai je semua orang tengah masak lunch. haha. nasib baik tak de apa kat aku. aku tolong la dorang buat apa yang patut. tapi ramai suruh aku rehat sebab aku baru sampai. serba salah aku dibuatnya. masa dah siap masak nampak langit dah start gelap tanda nak hujan. jadi makan cepat2. tengah2 makan tu hujan turun selebat2nya. apa lagi, lari masuk bawah fly la. haha. berhimpit2 duduk bawah tu. makan la dalam kekuyupan. aku dengan mata sebelah ni terpaksa suruh orang asingkan cili untuk aku. hehe. petang tu main goreng pisang dalam sungai. team lelaki banyak kali kena simbah dengan team perempuan. seronok. :) hari ni kaki aku cramp lagi. haha. sebab kesejukan. dapat swim dalam air sungai. best. :) malam tu makan sambal kentang. sardin dengan sayur goreng and air cincau. malam tu dapat tidur awal. pukul 10 dah tidur. dalam nak terlelap tu ada pulak mantan boleh bantai main mercun. terkejot den.

hari ketiga breakfast nasi lemak. dapat tengok sunrise. :) cantik sangat. today aku jadi sweeper lagi. perjalanan turun agak memenatkan dan menyakitkan. trimas kepada yang bersabar. kak ili, taufiq, abang khairul, abang abot, terutama sekali abang bob yang teman aku sampai bawah. sabar sangat walaupun aku jalan memang slow gila babi punya. masa turun aku memikirkan macam mana aku boleh naik tempat curam ni. haha. masa turun dapat tengok air terjun chemerong. masa tu semua sakit2 HILANG! puas sangat masa tu. rasa sangat berbaloi naik berembun. oh, masa ni mata aku dah boleh buka walaupun sikit. sampai bawah je lepas letak bag, seluruh tubuh aku rasa sakit. nak berjalan pun tak boleh maaa. mandi2, lepas maghrib bertolak balik KL. sampai unisel dalam pukul 4.30 mcm tu, sampai je rumah pukul 5.30. aku gosok gigi, terus tidur atas katil.

basicly, kembara kali ni sangat best. ada keseronokan tersendiri macam camp2 yang sebelumnya. rasa berbaloi sangat bayar rm 125(?) tu. jadi kat sini aku nak ucap terima kasih dekat semua yang join event ni. yang ambil berat kat aku. nak list nama sorang2 memang payah la sebab ada 8 orang. jadi terima kasih jaga aku and bersabar dengan aku.

Belum Memoirs *the story

this year there is 38 participant including vemal, mr ravi's son. sad ly only 11 boys and the rest are girls. only 1 female teacher that is miss tan and other were male teachers.

the journey start at around 0045 hours. we stop at tapah around 0230 hours for pee and stuff. and then the journey continue until we stop at gerik for prayer and breakfast at about 0545 hours. we continue the journey at about 0745 hours. mostly ate roti canai for breakfast. then about 30 minutes later we arrived at belum rainforest resort. when we arrived, we're requested to gather at a conference hall. so, we did a little ice breaking session and miss tan taught us a song that i already forget the tittle. after that about 1400 hours, we walked to hour camp site or to be specific, perkampongan orang asli. so, we provided our own lunch. my sister and i slept bnext to eacr other. later in the evening, some of us, were playing teng-teng to kill the boredom. will some of the teachers, or specifically mr ravi were fishing. after that some of us were taking a short nap. but i slept. haha. then we had our dinner. tonight, we don't do night walking, but night trekking instead. it was challenging. because we ussually just go inside the forest and use the easiest trail but this time, we used the trail that require us to jump acrose a small river(?). then we get back to our place, clean our self and sleep. dashween and i was asign for the girls cleaniness and health.

on the next day, we have show trail. it sort of like go inside the woods and get to know the trees. i only remember a few; merbau, cengal, keruing, cinta mula, tapak kuda and few others. in the evening after lunch, we have amazing race. the race we really AH-MA-ZINGGGG! we have to do a few task. the fisrt one we have to run/walk for about 2km and and take the bicyle and cycle back for about 1.5km and go up the hill for about few hundreds metres before arrivead at an open space. syukri and i exchange cycling. the when arrived at the open space, we the second task awaits us. we have to built a rakit. tahank god it just the model AND we syukri in our group. but we don't leave everything to him. it was a group effort. then we go down the hill and get the third task. we have to colllect as many resam leave as we can. syukri and i took the bicycle together. it was a tough task for us. we have to take the rakit model to. then after that farahin and i as two people of the group need to go rakit-ing for about 500 metres. it was a new experienced to me. then we arrived at perkampongan orang asli, we have to hurried up searching for the next clue then run to the jetter about 500metres and wait for the other two that swimming in the water. while waiting for two of them i reapair the rakit, it loose. then when they arrived, we run to the finishing line. and appranatly we the first group to arrived. we took abou 1 hour and 41 minutes to finish the race. we don't do campfire later in the night. we learn many songs and refuse to do the knot. haha.

third day start a little slow. we start at about 0900 hours. we rakit for about 2km. my hand haven't reccover from the session before. there was about 11 rakits. mine and ivan's was the last two rakit to arrive at the end. then we swim a bit while resting. after that each rakit were tied to each other at the bout took us to the perkampongan. while waiting to arrived, ustaz gave us numerous of riddles and we felt like kicking him out of the rakit because of the silly riddles. later in the afternoon after cleaning up ourself and eating our lunch. we get ready to go and see the rafflesia. there was only one flower and one of the petal were broke. according to the instructor it was because the previous people. after that we ride the boat to the whole lake. so we get to see the hornbill. but i couldn't see because i forgot to bring my glassess. we arrived at the perkampongan when the sun is setting. after that we took our stuff to the toilet and 'dry clean'. at about 2100 syukri and azrif get ready the fish. we're doing 'ikan bakar' that night. it was my first time eating eat. haha. that night two orang asli entertain us with their songs.

last day were really a laze day. we pratically did nothing. we were just clean up the site. we were divided into group and my group were appointed to clean the canteen. and we did nothing much because the canteen was clean.and we pack our bags and clean up the house. after that we clean up ourselves, some of the students including me we still playing in the lake. after that i took my bath at the toilet and i was the very last person to get ready. almost get scolded haha. and then we took group photo before going back and arrived at school around 2130 hours.

i've learnt few thing from this camp:

- how to cut the fish (thanks to syukri)

- wash my hair in the sink.

- you can do it as long as you're willing to do it.

this would be probably the last camping for me as a school student. i had fun at the camp.

so, yeah.

Big Elly, without Lavania

Well, the journey started at 0300 on 24 May. We stoped at Ayer Keroh at 0430 for Subuh and continue our journey. Then we stoped at Kluang at 0800 for breakfast. I can't slept well in bus because Atikah, Wafiy, and Azrif can't stop talking and laughing. Then we hit Kahang to wait for four wheel to go to the center. We wait there for 30 minutes, sempat la pergi toilet. Then, went to NERC with four wheel. It took 2 hours to arrive to the center. Most of us slept in the four wheel. What I realised in the four wheel is the temperature. Inside the four wheel was 29 degree celsius and outside was 55 degree celsius - the highest, I don't know if there's mistake. Arrive at the center, we send our bag in the dorm. I slept with Liyana and Fatin. Then we went for lunch then to a hall for some talks about the national park and all. Then we went down to a field for ice breaking. Being paired, our hand were tied to each other. And we have to find a way to free ourself. Then we were broke into group. I was in Elephant group with Farah Wahida, Liyana, Fatin, Khatijah, Iver, Lavania and Tharni. We named our group 'Big Elly'. Other group was Keradibles, Pak Belang and Helang Merah. Then, that night, after had our dinner - Big Elly have to wash all the dishes - , we went for night walk. Many of us scream because of the leeches. Then, went back to our dorm and get ready to sleep. On the way to toilet, I think I got bite by leeches. Just one. I just realise when it was bleeding. Then we went to sleep. Believe it or not. It was only 2130 then.

On the second day, I woke up at 0630. Went to the toilet and all. After that, we went down to the field and do chicken dance and streching. I enjoyed the chicken dance. After that we went for breakfast and get ready for jungle trekking. Our group teacher was Ustaz Rizal, Cikgu Rashidi, Cikgu Shahrul and Cikgu Syamsurri - they're not exactly our group teacher, they just need to be in the same boat with us. Our group fasilitator was Abang Ashok. Went group by group to Pacau with boat that took 30 to 40 minutes. Trekking a little bit - we saw elephant dunk - until we arrive to Pacau Campsite. We stayed there for about 15 minutes. We heard Abang Raj talk about the Kuala Jasin. Then, we took group photo. Then, we took our lunch pack and continue our journey. There's river crossing and water testing. We did water testing at this one river, get the result and all. Then the jungle trekking continue until at this campsite we had our lunch, saw ikan kelah - very big one and the water was crystal clear. Then we went to Blue Lake - yes, crystal clear water - which take 12 minutes trekking. Bath there. I have to take over Cikgu Rashidi's job, take few pictures and then pass to Aisyah because I want to swim and Cikgu Rashidi trying to prove that Science wrong. He tried to make the stone stand on a very small edge. Then we back to NERC. We saw 3 sizes of tiger's foot prints - it scares me - and Aisyah got bite by leeches at her arse. Really. Took our bath - with no lights because there's only electricity from 1900 until 0700 - and have some rest before went for dinner at 1930 - Pak Belang wash the dishes. Then we watch a talk about tropical rain forest by Abang Raj and insect by Abang John. After that, we went to dorm and sleep at 2340. I slept with Fatin because it was cold.

On third day, woke up at 0630 again, went to toilet and all. Then streching and chicken dance again. Miss Tan, Puan Kamisah, Ustaz Rizal, Cikgu Ravi and Cikgu Rashidi joined us. After had our breakfast, we went on boat to Pacau and trekking to Denai Dato' Ghani. Then we started hiking to Gunung Janing Barat. I breath like hell. It was so loud until five people in front of me can hear it. Then when I was so tired, I stop until I saw Cikgu Syamsurri who was in the middle of the whole group. So, I joint him. He offer me to carry my bag, but I refuse, I want to feel the thrill. When arrive at the top, the loud breath, the rock climbing and the leeches was worth it. The view from the top was breath taking. I smiled until my ears. Cikgu Syamsurri teasing me. We saw Upih Guling from there. Then when all of us have arrive, Abang Raj told us, we were great because we arrived 30 mintes earlier than estimated. Had our lunch and went to a place that have periuk kera on the top. We did the water testing again. Heard some facts about the periuk kera and went down. On the way down, Nabihah and I almost fell. I was behind Miss Kong and Miss Tan before I over took them - it was raining at that time. Than after a few minutes, Liyana was in front of me and behind me was only Tharni and Farah Wahida! Just the four of us. Then I said, "Wah, hebat gila. Turun tak de guide. Haha." Liyana replied, "Berani mati do." Then I said, "Takpe. Selagi ada benda merah tu betul lah." Then, we wait for all to arrive down at Pacau Campsite - we're not the first one to arrive. Then went back with boat. After had our bath, we went to the hall and discuss about our perfomances that night. We have to do two, one were base on script and we need to creat the other one. Then, after maghrib, we had our dinner and went down to field for insect watching. So, I saw green beatle, cicada, moth, cockroaches and all. Then do our perfomances. The first perfomances that with script we did the story about 'The Tortoise and Mr Hare'. I'm the Mr Hare (rabbit), Liyana did the opening, Tharni was the story teller, Iver was the Tortoise, Farah Wahida was at the finishing line, Nabihah and Khatijah was the tree. We got the highest mark for that. The created we did Seloka Endau-Rompin in our own way. We tease Wafiy, Mr Ravi, Cikgu Shahrul and Miss Tan in it. At first we thought we're not gonna make it but then everybody was laughing so it was okay lah. Teachers need to do one. They did the Tarian MNS. All the fasilitators and students joined. Then after that, the result was count. There's tie between us and Keradibles. Then a question was asked, Liyana gave me the answer, I answered it and then, yay Big Elly won the second place. Than, later that night there was a sense game. We have to blind fold. We have to taste, hear, smell and feel stuff. After that we gather back at the hall. Since we're the first group to finish, we have to wait for the other groups to finish. After that was a head count and we found out that one was missing, Thania. Rashvinder and Dawhween - I think - said Thania said she went to the toilet and they already told Atikah. But Atikah said no. So we were told to search for her - it was pass 11 and we had a long day, imagine how exausted we are. Then we end up at the jetty and we told that it was actually Thania's surprise birthday. When Thania arrive at the jetty, we all sang Happy Birthday song to her, she blew the candle cut the cake. Then Miss Tan asked her to pick a boy of her choice but she didn't. So, Miss Tan picked Amir Syafiq, because they wore the same colour shirt. Thania have to feed him. After that we went to dorm, pack our belongings, brush our teeth and slept at 0230 - I think. Again, I slept with Fatin.

The next morning, we woke up at 0600. Took bath, breakfast and all. Then after breakfast, I saw few people do some craft, so I went to check. Found out it was interesting, I join. I learn how to do ikan belacak and udang. But mine like tak jadi because it was too short. After that was the closing and the thanks and all. Then we went rafting from NERC Jetty to Kampung Peta. Big Elly, Puan Kamisah and Cikgu Rashidi was in the same boat. So we raft. We were the second group at first. When there's only 30 metres to arrive we beat the first group - I don't remember what group. Wait for the other group, took another group photo and walking to Kampung Peta. Saw how the cook in bamboo with jungle stuff and the trap. Thania was on demo for one trap. This trap kinda look like a cage. So, we left her in there while we look at the other trap, Remy went to take a pail of waterand throw to her, yeah, she's wet. Then we went to this house saw Orang Asli traditional game, kercang. I bought one. There's four kerchang in it. But I only know how to do three. After that we walk to this center and had our lunch. Liyana, Fatin and I change our cloth there. Then we went back to Kahang with four wheel. But this time it was only took one hour and thirty minutes because the driver use short cut. When we arrive at Kahang, some of us buy shirt, cap, bag and certificate. I bought bag and certificate. I want to buy the shirt but don't have enough money. Then went back to Kuala Lumpur with bus. Along the ride I couldn't sleep well. Because as ussual, Wafiy with his ghost story. Nak tak nak kene dengar gak. Then we stop at Pagoh for solat and ate. Then we hit to our school. We arrive at about 2030. I went back home with Amir Syafiq because our home is at the same road.

That was all about the camping. Overall, it was fun and great. I'm sure it will be more fun if Afiq, Aswad, Nazrin, and Farhan and Harizah were there. Mhmm, because of Cikgu Shahrul, all of the picture in Ustaz camera was gone because he accidentaly delete it. The picture in Cikgu Rashidi camera as well, but only for the first and second day only. So yeah, see you in the next camp.
